
The Four Great Passions

I. There are Four Great Passions.
A. Love is the First Great Passion.
i. Love is an Emotion Born of Selflessness.
ii. Loving someone means that you want to be there for Them.
B. Lust is the Second Great Passion.
i. Lust is an Emotion Born of Selfishness
ii. When you Lust for someone, you want them to be there for You.
C. Hate is the Third Great Passion.
i. Hate is an Emotion Born of Selflessness.
ii. Hate is Externalized Animosity.
D. Self-Loathing is the Fourth Great Passion.
i. Self-Loathing is an Emotion Born of Selfishness.
ii. Self-Loathing is Internalized Animosity.

II. The Four Great Passions form a Circle of Complementation and Opposition.
A. Things that are Complementary are Co-Dependent.
i. Complementary things Cannot exist independently of one-another.
B. Things that are Oppositional are Exclusionary.
i. Oppositional things Cannot coexist.
ii. Oppostional things Neutralize each other.
C. Lust is the Opposite of Love.
D. Hate is the Complement to Love.
E. Self Loathing is the complement to Lust.
F. Hate is the Opposite of Self-Loathing.

III. The Four Great Passions are grouped into two sets with differing centers.
A. Love and Hate focus on an Externalized Other.
B. Lust and Self-Loathing are Self-Centered.

IV. Love is frequently misidentified.
A. Lust is often misidentified as Love.
